Hi,

I have been having issues with a PBX since it was upgraded to V20. To be clear, I have rekeyed the FTP server and it manually ran backups, however when they are scheduled they do not run.

I have tried inputting the FTP server details again, changing the credentials etc, but no change. I have restarted the service and changed the time of the backup with no joy.

I have also tried adding the parameter in another thread "ALWAYS_USE_TMP_FILE_FOR_BACKUP". But, that did not work for me.

Is there anything else I can try?

Regarding your question, check the logs on the FTP side to see what the error is with the FTP server and adjust it as required.

Hello same problem here on 3 instances since upgraded in v20.
It's not an issue on FTP side since manual backups are fine.
If we disabled FTP to go on local backup same issue: manual backup ok , scheduled backups nok.
It's definitively a problem with the scheduler which seems not be triggered.

Hello @JP Seguin

Do you see any errors in the event log?

Hello,

Nothing in the event log about the backups.

Ok, try the following:

Set the PBX to Verbose logging level.
Set your scheduled backup to trigger in 5 minutes
Wait for the time you set to pass by a minute or so.
Download the support info and check 3cxSystemService.log and see if you have any errors related at the time of the trigger.

Done, nothing about backups in the 3cxsystemservice.log

Can you send me the support info you downloaded in a PM please?

I am having a similar issue but I am using SMB not FTP. Was this ever resolved? Using Version 20.0 Update 7

So I found a workaround to get scheduled backups running again.

First, make sure your 3CX is on the latest version.
Then in the dashboard, go to Storage and uncheck the "Enable Remote Data Storage & Archive", then hit Save.
Then, re-enable Remote Data Storage & Archive. You will need to re-enter your password in the password field, hit save again.
Then, set the backup archive schedule to hourly. Save.
Then, go back to the dashboard and click Restart OS.

At that point, wait until you start seeing hourly backup notification emails (if you have those enabled). Once they start happening, you can change the schedule back to daily/weekly/whatever.

I did this on 23 PBX's, and the same process worked on each one. Hopefully it works for you too.
