I'm getting the below error messages multiple times daily on my telnyx connection.

"Trunk L:10003(Telnyx LLC - v2025-05) has changed status to unregistered. This means that no more calls will pass via this trunk. Please check your network connection and the voip provider or other SIP PBX"

My 3cx is v18 and is hosted on the cloud by 3cx.

I have tried the following but nothing helps:
  1. setup sip trunk again using telnyx import profile
  2. whitelisted ips inside 3cx and telnyx
  3. Restarted 3cx services

I noticed that one trunk was not dropping with same settings except for TCP protocol. Changing to TCP Resolves the error, but I prefer udp.

I contacted Telnyx they suggested something wrong with 3cx cloud environment based on pcap. See email below:

Hello There

From your capture, there is some time-frames where you are not receiving our response for the REGISTER packets.

I checked our logs for this periods and i can see we have been answering them on the occasions (pcap is in UTC-3 and logs are in UTC):

Only when you receive our 401 unauthorized packet and provides the following packet with the full authorization information, we answer with the 200OK accepting the trunk registration.

You mentioned that the trunk with the same settings but using TCP as the transport protocol is not facing the same issue. This strongly suggests that a temporary network issue is happening within 3cx cloud environment that might be dropping our response udp packets.

Since we are not seeing any issue on our side, the quickest attempt of a solution is to change this trunks to TCP as well. No changes are needed on the Telnyx portal for this.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi @rajathbk

We will check and let you know.

Can you please check again now and let me know if you are still having the issue?

It seems the problem has been fixed. The trunk didn't drop for last two hour after switching to udp.

I'll report if that changes.

Curious, what was the issue?

There was an issue with our hosting provider, which the provider has now resolved for you.

We're on V20 hosted and since switching to V20, our trunks drop out for 3-12 minutes a couple times a week. We have a Voip.MS, a telnyx and a Flowroute and it doesn't seem to be one more than the other. The staff hasn't been troubled by it but they also get page notifications (we're a high-availability medical practice). Is this a software glitch? What can I do to fix it? Thanks!
