I know that there are a lot of posts out there already about V20 Reports but I am just wondering why 3CX ever released a version that has reporting SO MUCH WORSE than it was in v18. The gift of wiping out your reports with the upgrade wasn't enough, they also make reporting pretty much unusable too! @3CX you need to do better in your product releases before you start losing people!

We dont have an exact ETA on this, but it is being worked on.

It is one reporting engine, so we are expecting to release this at the same time.

I've been trying to find a definite answer for this, so apologies if this has been answered already somewhere. Currently, is it only possible for a user to generate and view reports for all departments if they are a System Owner? I've been trying to figure out how to give a user access to reporting for all departments, but I don't want them to have access to all the other permissions associated with being a System Owner.

We have a similar requirement. We want to grant users access to reporting for their own department but restrict access to chat logs and recordings.

With the new reporting engine this will be possible. We will be exporting the necessary data to the relevant platform and then from there you will be able to do whatever you require.

Currently the visibility is based on your role on the system or department.

You could have a system owner however create a report on behalf of another person and have it scheduled to be sent to them via email currently.

Kindly provide this as soon as possible, as we are receiving numerous complaints about the reporting issues following the update to version 20.

My cdr in version v20 Linux comes with the time GMT 0, I need it to come with the correct time of my country GMT -3, how do I change this? Because in the call reports it is OK! The departments are already configured for GMT -3, but only the CDR comes with the time GMT 0. Versão 20.0 Update 6 (Build 486 Alpha)

3CX always saves the time in UTC. There is no way to change that. You will have to manipulate the date/time in your consuming application. As a side note, 3CX saves dates in UTC so that you are starting from a known time zone. This means you can always calculate the correct time regardless of YOUR time zone, or the time zone of the 3CX server. This is a "best practice" approach to saving date/times in log files.

Hi there, did you by chance read these blogs?

https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/improved-reporting/
https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/call-reporting-updates-2025/

you also can work with the cdr and get custom reports made with your needs or process the csv with power bi.

Wait a little bit for the new updates regarding the reports.

Meu sistema é a Versão 20.0 Atualização 6 (Build 486 Alpha).

Yes, I had already read it, but the client already has a billing software implemented and told me that he will not be able to convert time within his software! He wants the CDR to come with the correct time (GMT -3), just as the reports within 3cx are already coming!
But do we have a forecast date for fixing this 3cx bug or do I have to inform him that this will not be possible?

Hi Mr Joanny, this is not a bug, by design the cdr is shown in UTC 0 and it has been like that in all the versions, so you will process this data in any external server/software and it should adjust it with your current time zone.
