3CXphone v14 seems to be crashing Intel Graphics driver

After launching a couple of calls from the switchboard, the whole screen goes dark for a moment and windows reports
"Display driver igfx has stopped responding". Doesn't happen every time but it only happens just after clicking the switchboard.
I've tried removing/reinstalling 3cxphone as well us updating/downgrading display driver. Same thing. User is running Vista 32 bit. Any ideas?
