After struggling with the different builds of V5, our system is somewhat stable. The ability to properly DR transfer a call to an unregistered extension however, still causes considerable grief.

Has anybody installed 4393 and tested this feature yet? Or, are most folks just sitting still on their old versions rather than unleashing the beast of instability again? We do enjoy 3CX, but simply cannot risk the business interruption if 4393 turns out to be unstable.

How can you transfer a call to an unregistered extension? For obvious reasons that can not be possible?

Ricambi America Do you mean forwarding to an outside number when an extension is unregistered?

1st impression - not good - none of my activation codes work - Reseller one or the one from making Expert level. HELP!

Rob - the activiation codes work in exactly the same way as before so the new build can not possibly have effected this.

DR transfer to unregistered:

By that, I mean having a virtual extension "501" that always forwards to a mobile number. If an outside caller touches 501 during the DR, they receive the message "call transfer failed". If an internal caller dials 501, it transfers to the mobile number just fine.

Basically, an incoming call from outside 3CX cannot be transfered to a mobile number via the digital receptionist. That has been our experience.

This has been an ongoing hassle since V5 was released.

I stand 100% corrected. This has been solved by a bit of monkey business using a dial prefix. It does indeed work as explained here:

Urbok,

Look at my posts and how I solved it.

Also, have you tried removing your extension lists from the outbound rule. In other words, where it says "Calls from extensions", just leave that blank.

Also, if that does not work, the way I got it to work was I created a 2nd outbound rule with a prefix (IE - dial a 9 or something like that). Then in call forward all on the extension that is unregistered, I placed my prefix followed by the number . Example: 907123123112.

Regards

Rob
