I wish, and I believe everyone wishes, for a high availability solution that allows replicating history and configuration between two or three 3CX clusters. This would be a major revolution.
Additionally, since the fax server only allows receiving faxes via email, I would also like an interface that enables sending faxes as well.

You cant be serious? Have you not seen the failover server?

as for sending fax... do you want to bring back a rolodex for storing contacts too?

Bro, Yes, I’m aware of the failover feature, but that’s not what I’m referring to. Failover ensures continuity in case of failure, but it doesn’t provide real-time replication of history and configuration across multiple clusters. I’m talking about a true high availability solution that synchronizes data between two or three 3CX clusters, which would be a significant improvement. The current failover setup is not enough for that purpose.

Back to the Rolodex? Seriously? It seems like you're confusing failover with high availability. The current 3CX failover is just a switchover in case of failure, not real-time replication between multiple clusters. We’re not talking about simple redundancy but a system that continuously syncs history, configuration, and data. If you think failover = high availability, then there’s clearly a misunderstanding of the basic concepts

3CX has made improvements to the failover functionality in Version 20.

The configuration can be synced to the failover server hourly. You can also have an external CDR server which can store the call records so when you switch over this will be available instantly to the secondary server.

Recordings can be archived instantlty once a call is complete.

So that pretty much covers the VAST MAJORITY of requirements for redundancy.

To make high availability available would require a massive restructuring of the core of 3CX, which would require additional servers, and an increase in the cost as well. It would also create unnecessary complexity for the 99% of customers.

For the outgoing fax, there are various solutions out there that can integrate with 3CX and with other services directly to suit most needs. A good Google search will bring up a good number of results.

As for making feature requests, this is available to upper tier partners in the Ideas section of the forum.

Now people, keep it civil, or take it outside. Not in the forum.
