For remote / cloud-hosted sites, it would be nice to be able to select the "Multicast Paging Ring Group provisioning" so that the listening address can be pushed to phones. This option disappears when selecting SBC provisioning.

We use an onsite Snom PA1 device as the actual paging extension and it does a multicast relay on the LAN to all deskphones.
On Yealink T4x and T5x I have been manually setting the listening address but it kept getting overwritten so we had to resort to a custom template.

Thanks!

We're in the exact same boat. Having to resort to a SnomPA1 and custom templates to get multicast paging to function behind an SBC. We would love it if we did not have to resort to custom templates, but manually adding each extension to a paging group is not feasible, as there doesn't seem to be a way to exclude mobile clients from paging groups. If an employee is currently logged in through the mobile app, any incoming pages will be severely delayed.

Even if passing the broadcast to the SBC is not possible, it would be nice to be able to configure the listening ports on the handset for use with the PA1s broadcast address, but I imagine trying to document such a solution would be difficult.

I started by just manually adding the multicast settings to each phone but for some reason it gets wiped out. Tell me another way to avoid custom template for this 3CX? Thanks.
