about best cloud based setup and using VPN

I host 3cx on google cloud. What is better way to connect 3cx to office and ip phones, so phone provisioning works?

On the moment i just connect ip phones like softphones and 3cx is accessible on internet, but is not it better use google vpn and connect cloud to router via it?


Or maybe is it worth to use some forwarding to local router?

What is better in long term?

Google VPN costs some extra money but if it is much more secure may be it is worth? or may be it is not necessary and 3cx is secure?

It can depend on how many sets you are using at the location, have you considered the 3CX SBC?

The 3CX tunnel is proprietary, so the answer is almost certainly...no.

Thanks, how I understand to use sbs i need an extra device always online for installing software? What could be the drawbacks of using 3cx as it is now, opened to internet? How secure is it? Also i can use google firewall to restrict access to only few ip. In this case softphones outside of office on mobile will not work.

How many phones? I have found a Raspberry Pi running the SBC works really well.
