From those 5 Presence status options three already will divert any Call somewhere else. Changing the push on/off flag for these will not make your phone ring because the call will be already handled somewhere else, instead it might change your office phones call divert settings. So, the only option is to use the Availiable2 Status for using as an off/on switch for push - if I dont want to make the more complicated way through the edit of the available status.
I think this is confusing, or can away, dnd, oof2 be changed so that a call can arrive at the phone?

Why not simply a button: PUSH off - regardless of what presence status is set. Eliminates the danger of inadvertently changing the divert settings of your office phone if you only what to stop incoming calls on the mobile. Also one click less.

I agree this is not a good or simple replacement. If the point was to introduce flexibility and make things more intuitive then just leave the previous option there and add the new options on top. What used to be a single button push is now several steps that have side effects. There is no need to fix things that are not broken.
The new options do not work for our company. Many of our users have a desk phone, a wifi only softphone, and some have a 2nd cellular or BYOD softphone for travel.

*Can't use the status changes because we are already using the statuses for other things.
*Still can't create new permanent statuses and configure them via the admin console. Manual set up on 250+ devices is a pain.
*Since status effects the whole extension, it negatively effects people with multiple devices. Its not intuitive to see anything other than "available" as a status when someone is available.
*Silent mode is useless because it doesn't disable the vibration and the screen still wakes up.
*The scheduled hours are not an option because again it affects the whole account. Also is impossible to set for a rotating call calendar.

The only work around we have is to have users disable their profile in the app when they don't want it to ring.

Bottom line is that every option provided takes more setup and responsibly than a single button push.
If there are other options I'm listening.

Why do they have the app if they don't want to ring? Honestly.

Outside of office hours, calls shouldn't even ring so that shouldn't be an issue.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, you must have misread my post. I was looking for helpful suggestions on how to manage my multi-device 3CX users. I haven't been using the system for all that long so I fully admit that there are things I don't know. I included all the recommendations I saw in several other forum posts with similar subjects. I also included the reasons they don't work or make things easier. I want to give my users the best, most user friendly phone experience they can have. Its hard to explain when something existed yesterday and then is gone for no reason today.

I'm not sure what type of businesses your used to working with, but our company is much more complex than your comment suggests you have dealt with. We do not close when the office closes. We have multiple shifts, 24 service technicians, global traveling service technicians, and an IT department that use the phone systems after office hours. We appreciate being given options but not at the cost of what was previously basic functionality.

I am frustrated that 3CX doesn't seem to value the needs and requests of its customers more.
Again I'm open to any Productive suggestions.

I fully understand your post. The only thing I'm curious is why this: "Can't use the status changes because we are already using the statuses for other things"? What do you do with statuses that could interfere with the new "Accept Push" setting?

The only option suitable for a "push disabled" profile is "available2" . Now, if the company already designated this as for example "home Office", it obviously can't be used for push off.
It gets impossible if the user has more then one mobile phone to find a free status for use as push off.
The only solution i see is to assign an extra extension to each mobile and to create a Ring group for each person.

Great, I would suggest to implement a mode where the app does not exit, so I am still able to make calls. If I do not want the mobile to ring, but have to make a call, this would be more convenient. If the app still runs, that does not hurt because it indeed consumes near 0 power when in Background.

@nobody that would necessitate modifying a status, and that is already available via the app. If you kill push while the app is still in the running state you will not be able to receive calls, only make calls.

I do not think that this necessary has to modify a status. This is something which should be IMO device specific only. And it should be easy to recognize on the front page of the softphone - like a status, but must not change the status of the user. There is the Silent mode, but, according to users the phone app still steals the focus and also vibrates.

Check the beta version - exit without push is back
Excellent. I fully retract my previous comment about 3CX not valuing customer feedback.
Thank you and have a great day.

I agree that the Exit W/O Push is necessary and I also will be getting the Beta for that reason. I feel its a hassle trying figuring out the different statuses and at the end of the day when I don't want people calling me after hours, I didn't even want to see the app running. The other reason the Exit Without Push was nice was lets say if I'm sitting at my desk phone with my cell phone next to it, I don't need my cell phone going off as well, just completely closing the app was what I wanted because I couldn't set the DND on the app as it would set that across my whole extension.

Another suggestion that I might add that I saw on my Apple Users, If 3CX would rather us keep the apps open 24/7, I wouldn't be opposed to a similar "account" section that at the top of their app, it shows there name. When tapped, it will bring up a list of the user, their extension with a little BLUE button next to it. If the Apple user taps that button next to their name, it then de-registers there phone. If that was also something in Android, i would then be ok with no Exit button.

Just my two cents :)

A way of cheating this temporarily is to setup a 2nd account that recieves no calls. then you can chage the phone to that account, so its not linked to your main account. 1 account can do mulitple users and still allow dialing out.

changing account is easy on android, as you just click your name on the menu.
