Ad hoc video conference

Hi all,
We're using hosted 3CX (18.0.7.296), softphones and mobile apps.
I seem to be unable to start an ad hoc video conference. Ie when I'm on a video call with another softphone user within the business, I cannot add another user to the video call. When i select conference and add user, it automatically changes the call to audio only conference. There doesn't seem to be any other way of adding another video call without killing the call and starting up a meeting.
Is this a limitation?

Hi,

Yes this is a limitation. A regular phone call with video (ie. extension to extension) cannot be elevated to a conference video call.

We recommend using webmeeting instead, which is not a "phone call", but rather a meeting session where you can add as many people as you want to join in with their webcams.
