Hello All,

We are trying out 3cx for our telephony system replacement.

I have installed the Windows 3cx Client and the Outlook plugin in order to call directly from outlook.

In order to make a successful call using 3cx and outlook, I have to edit my contacts and include a prefix 9 at front of the contacts number.

Is there a way to add the prefix automatically instead going and editing all the contacts?

Regards,
Neo

There is no way to automatically add a prefix just for outlook dialing but there is quite a simple solution and that is to create an outbound rule that will process calls by the number digits being dialed only, instead of a prefix.

To do this:
Simply add a new outbound rule, within the management console > outbound rules section, and under the section 'Calls to Numbers with a length of' populate this with the length of numbers being dialed from Outlook. You can leave this rule at the bottom of the outbound rule list so that it will be used to process calls last and catch calls to numbers that do not contain prefixes and want your outbound rules with prefixes to be used first.
