Hi,

I have just installed a 3CX Hosted Solutions at a clients which is working great. But they curently have a Gate at the front of the Property which is connected as an extension on their old analogue Samsung Telephone System. I believe it is activated by a 3/4 digit DTMF code so I would like to replicate this on the 3CX solution. So I can then remove the old Telephone system in it's entirety. I have looked and tried to get an idea of which ATA controllers would besupported by version 16 and would help resolve this issue but I am struggling to find an answer. Any ideas/help on this would be great. Thank you in advance.

Go for a GDS from Grandstream or any CyberData Door systems. Forget the analog lol

It will come down to cost (device and installation), and practicality. Re-using the analogue system, provided it has not had any issues (if it has then this is a good opportunity to replace), would require using an ATA. If you don't plan on using any multi-line ATAs in the 3CX installation, where one line could be used for the gate, then an inexpensive one, or two line unit would have to be purchased. There are some supported ATAs listed on the 3CX site, or, if you feel confident to do so, manually provision one that is not supported. I would imagine that the settings will not be changing a great deal. If you are familiar with VoIP then it is not a huge project.
