Adding prefix to local numbers

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can provide guidance on the issue I have.

In the UK (specifically Northern Ireland), it's possible to dial a local number without the country code, for example, if the full telephone number is 02890123456, it's possible on ISDN lines to dial '90123456', basically dropping the area code from the number.

Now, I understand that this isn't possible using SIP Trunks, however, my question is, can i configure a rule to automatically add the 028, in the event I dial a number beginning with '9' for example?

Hello,

You can create an Outbound rule as you mentioned that prepends the 028.
Make sure to configure the rule with the prefix (in your example 9 ) and "call to numbers with a length of" with the length of the number you will be dialing.
Keep in mind the Outbound rules are checked from the top to bottom and the call will follow the first rule that will match.
