Hello everyone,
I am a complete newbie to 3CX phone system.
Today, I have managed to install and run a test drive for the system. Below are what I did:
1/ Install 3CX for Debian, on Hyper-V. All good and I got to the web-based mgt interface at 192.168.1.123:5001. This is the latest 3CX version I believe (3.16.x.x..)
2/ Create 2 extension: 1001 and 1002 (in addition the Operator 1000): all good
3/ Install iOS app and use ext 1001. Install Android app and use ext 1002
4/ Forward port 5000-5001; 5060; 5090 to the 3CX server (e.g. 192.168.1.123)
5/ Forward port 9000 - 9238 to the 3CX server
6/ Forward port 10600 - 10998 to 3CX server
7/ Forward port 2195-2197 to 3CX server for iOS push device
8/ Forward port 443 to 3CX server for Android push device
9/ Disable SIP-ALG in the router (EdgeRouter)
10/ Install and sync NTP on the 3CX server - all date and time are in sync with Hyper-V
11/ Firewall Check: Green, no issue found
Note: As this is the 1st time I installed and use 3CX, I have not done any SIP trunk or outside calling features, or anything. My purpose for this time is to test if I can use the iOS app and Android app to call each other via Internet first...
Result:
- Android app (1002) calls iPhone app (1001): Good, sound/voice is clear, ringing OK. No problem
- iPhone app (1001) calls Android app (1002): No ring, nothing on the Android devices (Fire HD 10, mic + speaker latest firmware)
About the Android device: It is a Fire HD, running latest Fire OS (based on Android). I have sideloaded Google Play store and was able to install 3CX app natively from Google Play Store onto the Fire HD
The Activity Logs said:
Call to <sip:[email protected]:0> has failed; Cause: 487 Request Terminated/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5245
Apart from port 443 being forwarded, I could not think of anything else?
Could someone point me to the correct direction?
Thank you very much
