Hello my Android friends
This is a point form update of what is going on in the android world and also how it will relate to 3CX App. Its designed to have a quick brief of the major oem's, news updates etc. Feel free to comment and smash the like if you like this content. Your comments will be useful to formulate how the next brief will look like...
3CX news
16.0.40 will be released to production next week.
Simultaneously we are preparing another version to be released approx in 2 weeks time. We will be releasing beta's in the meantime. A shoutout to all beta testers that have helped us make this new version. We thank you for your help, support and reports!!

Chrome blocks http
Chrome will block insecure content on Android. Start getting used to working with your 3CX installs in HTTPS because we still see people connecting using http. Why we cannot understand. When this change is enforced, provisioning will no longer work. All Webclient, Management console and provisioning requests MUST be on HTTPS.
New Windows Android Surface FOLDABLE
Next Christmas - New Microsoft Android phone -A surface phone with Android NOT Microsoft. This is 5 inch display that folds and becomes 10 inches with a 360 degree hinge.

Some Development news - Android 10 has some new features that we might use - example external scoped storage which can adapt to use in the Chat part / attachments
BTW New 3CX version is developed in Kotlin so that is very good as it is the latest and recommended Android Development language.

New Pixel 4 on the horizon. WOW... Soli technology finally released.. face unloock etc Some Videos you can watch. amazing pics in night sky, many cool color options, Motion sense settings that allows you to skip songs and silence calls with a hand wave!!!!
Contractors were asked to target homeless people to test the face recognition in the Pixel 4!!

This is a good question.. Lets look at the major oem's and see

Wanna see how many folds the Samsung Galaxy Fold can make?? hahaha Go for it.. 200,000 foldings by Samsung or 40k per year!! Check out the FOLD BOT and lets see if this is true!!

Telecom API - Car/Bluetooth Option
Right now Pixel and Samsung S10 work perfectly with telecom API. I will keep a section in these posts so we can discuss any new models that work with in this mode. This option can be found in Settings > Advanced > Car/bluetooth
S10 had an update this morning - I see a a lot of frequent updates for Samsung S10 - make sure to update.
