Solved Apostrophe escape character in display names

We've found that any display names with Apostrophes are showing: "O'" in place of the apostrophe on all voicemails.

I've found several posts dating back 7 years to say this will be fixed eventually but no confirmation.

I am seeing this both on 16.0.8.16 and 18.0 Update 2 (Build 314). The name of the person leaving a voicemail is reported with the "O'" in the subject line and body of the notification email.

For us it's more or less a minor cosmetic annoyance.

For the product I'd say it shouldn't be ignored. Getting someone's name right is important as a fact of basic politeness. Also for some people in some parts of the world, such as Ireland, the apostrophe in one's name can have cultural and political significance.

We don't intend on ignoring it, I was just wondering if it in some way broke the usage of the system. We will investigate further. Thanks for reporting this!

Just a small update, we intend on making a change in V18 Update 3 to address this. For the time being, there is no ETA, but when it comes and you install it this should no longer be an issue.
