We've just upgraded our on-prem 3CX from V18 to V20. Everything seems to be working with a few minor issues that require a bit of changing how we route calls (nothing major).

However, our Android and IOS apps have no information in them (no recent calls, no contacts, no status, etc). We can make calls (and be called) if we manually dial the extension or outside numbers so we know the app can connect to our PABX. The only way we can restore things back to normal is to uninstall the current app (even though it is already its version is saying V20), and reinstall from the app store. Now, when we move off campus (or turn off wi-fi and switch to mobile data), the same thing happens again. Any suggestions where to look?

The apps were likely provisioned with a local IP address or a DNS not protected by an SSL certificate, which is not allowed in v20 for security reasons.

Each user must log into their 3CX account on a computer using the FQDN (https) and scan the QR code with their mobile device to update their mobile app configuration.

Thank you @Guillaume for pointing us in the right direction!

Our external firewall was only allowing 5001 and 5090 to come into the server which is why it worked in campus but not when accessing from outside. Once we allowed HTTPS, it started working.
