Unsupported AudioCodes 420HD

I recently got an AudioCodes 420HD designed for Skype for Business. Upon pointing it to my 3CX Server, it can make calls to extensions except the one it's registered to, but outbound dialing doesn't work and it cannot receive calls. The entire time it's also complaining about a registration failure, which I take to mean it isn't fully integrating onto the system. Has anyone else had any luck with this model phone or somehow connecting Skype for Business to 3CX for these to work?

No, you are going to waste a lot of time here. If you want to move to 3CX, use 3CX and a supported phone or otherwise just stick to Skype for Business....

I already have 3CX and a lot of supported phones. At least this one makes calls in some capacity, might be useful for something in the future.

@nvanw27 you need to replace the Skype for Business firmware with the standard SIP firmware for your C420 phone. SFB firmware is designed for the SFB platform, not for the SIP standard IP PBX like 3CX. It will work with 3CX after you change the firmware.

Even if you get an unsupported phone to work, you will still run into a lot of issues potentially.

With enough knowledge and perseverance you can make almost any phone work with 3CX. The question is whether your time you'll spend will be compensated VS using something that is already supported and has predictable behavior + future support from the manufacturer, and does not require any effort to get up and running.
