Hi colleagues,

I am sure this has been asked before and is day one basics, but I am having a complete block.

I have acquired a Fanvil 3XS (nice little phone) and want to auto provision two separate extensions on the handset, to represent two different DDI's.

I have managed to auto provision line 1 but when I try to configure line 2 in the management console, it says that MAC address has already been used on extension xxxxxx.

I am sure somewhere I have read that the configuration files can be changed or templates can be changed?

Where do I find those and how do I change them?

Kindest regards.

Currently not possible, unless you use custom templates.

You can provision one, remove the provisioning URL and manually add a second one if you want as an alternative to custom templates

I do this on Snom D785 and 720 phones it works perfectly and daily reprovision doesn't delete this manual setting, in MC it appears with same mac adress for 2 # extensions.

Thanks for your replies.
All sorted now.

This may be a stupid question... where do I remove the provisioning URL? The phone won't let me delete the url in system/auto provision/static provisioning server. I don't know where to delete the url on 3CX.Whateve I try, I get Failed with 400 :(
Thanks,

What phone?
You should be able to disable auto provision on the phone.

If your phones are used in STUN mode their macadress are registred to RPS servers so this is why you can't remove provisioning link. If this is that case, you need to let phones out of connection between 14days or ask 3cx support to remove macadress on RPS servers

It's a Fanvil X4G, and I have exactly the problem this topic is about: first extension works fine with autoprovisioning, but very hard to assign a second line / number to the extension from 3CX. Weird. Should be reasonably straightforward, as it was with my 10 year old Grandstream. No such luck, so far.
