Automated Paging Announcements

Hi

I was wondering if anyone had experience of doing automated paging announcements with 3CX?

Our fire alarm system is linked up to our door access system. When a fire alarm goes off it triggers an action in the door access system. What I would like to do, is when that action is triggered, for it to call a paging group in 3CX and play an automated message.

From the door access system, the trigger can be an external application that is called.

Wondered if anyone had any ideas on how to achieve this? Maybe utilising 3rd party software to link with 3CX?

You may be able to do something with the call control API.

It describes how to use the call control API to connect the paging extension to an IVR extension that will play the prompt.
