Automatic Handset Firmware Updates?

Hi all,

Is it possible to have 3CX automatically push handset firmware updates to phones? If so how can this be done?

From the management console it is possible to push firmware updates to supported phones, that are found under the supported IP Phones list on this page: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/. This though depends on how the phones have been provisioned, if say remotely behind an SBC then the phones will have had have been provisioned using PNP (where the phone has been assigned to the extension from the Phones node initially). Snom phones for example auto update once provisioned when you have updated at least one of them and have other phones of same model, providing the firmware is at the minimum level required (see the relevant guides found in page with link above) and have download the new firmware from the updates section and pushed the firmware to one of them from the phones node within the management console, then the other Snom phones, once provisioned, will auto update to the latest firmware also. In the case of the other makes then you will have to highlight the phone from the phones node and click firmware update manually once provisioned.
