Good day 3CX Team members,

Could you support me with following .
First I need to setup and define an Azure application with the required permissions and features to work with 3CX
If you have a document regarding the integration process in more detail ( except https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/microsoft-365/ ) can you share it with me so that I can understand what permissions on Azure side need to be set first ?

Hi,
It's automatic. Simply use the 3CX integration tool with a Microsoft Administrator account, and everything will be done automatically. No manual steps required.

"3. Sign in with your Azure administrator account to authenticate the application creation process in Microsoft 365."

We do not do this step in this way. Instead, we define an Azure Application with the required permissions and features.

Follow the steps as instructed by 3CX, where you will be asked to select the permissions you wish to grant. Then, if needed, you can review the permissions in Azure, although we do not recommend modifying them directly.

You cannot do it manually because the PBX automatically generates a certificate that is protected by a password created during the integration process and is directly imported into the application, with no way to access it. This ensures end-to-end security. You cannot have a more secure setup.

Therefore, there is no way to do this manually, as it would essentially be asking 3CX to lower the security, which is obviously unacceptable.
