When a call is received on the extension, I can dial ## (very quickly) and receive the "Transfer" + dialtone prompt. Dialing an internal or external number transfers the call successfully.

1) Call from external number dials Asterisk/freePBX server DID.
2) Extension (home) registered on Asterisk answers.
3) Extension transfers to cell phone (via ## feature code)
4) External number and cell phone are now connected (via Asterisk).

My question is now that I have transferred the call to my cell, how do I transfer the call again (ie: to my office land line)?

5) Cell phone now wants to transfer call (from cell) to landline (ie: office).
Even though the call is still routed through Asterisk, the ## feature code does not do anything.

How can I now transfer the call from my cell to another line?

You can't do it that I am aware of,this due to you not being connected to the asterisk system but instead your really now connected to your mobile provider

Hi Dave,

But the call is still being routed through the Asterisk server...
in on one sip trunk, through Asterisk and out on another sip trunk.

Why would Asterisk not still be able to accept dtmf from the mobile or land-line as it did the extension? It is still connected through Asterisk.

I have noticed a few voip providers offering this type of service now (although I am unsure if it is Asterisk, Freeswitch of something else).

Hi Dave / everyone,

In General Settings, the following option should contain a lower case t (allow called user to transfer call by pressing #).

Asterisk Dial command options: t

Now, by adding a lower case t in the following option, will allow you to continue transferring the call from phone to phone, but still prevent the calling party from transferring the call.

Asterisk Outbound Dial command options: t

Enjoy!

For those that want an update on this item...
This can be done, but adding a lower case t to the "Asterisk Outbound Dial command options" option in General Settings.

I am curious though, is there a way to set dial command options at the user level?
ie: I do not want to give this permission to everyone, only to specific users.
