I think I am have to look at hiring programmers on this one, but before I do,

I need an option for users to toggle outbound Caller ID blocking on or off per extension.
It can either be on the phone with a softkey or by using a feature code but it has to enter a toggle state, so once it is 'on' all calls going out will be CID blocked without further action on the part of the user until the toggle it 'off' again.
This has to include any softphone or click-to-call functions from integrated software that would use the line too.

FYI here in Australia we use 1831 prefix to block the outbound Caller ID.

so far I havent been able to find a way to do the toggle that worked successfully so to have it work on the line itself I imagine may need some core coding.

has anyone got this working anywhere?

I cant believe this is still ongoing and I havent found a decent solution.

I have logged calls with Cisco and all sorts but nada, is everyone holding out on some secret here or what?

the best hope I have is a suggestion from someone to create a second line on the SPA504G and have it prefix the call with 1831 so essentially having two routes out. Line 1 with caller-id on it and Line 2 with the prefix to block it. I havent trialled this yet, I am still hoping someone will tell me there is a simple * code to achieve this . it seems crazy that no one has Caller ID Blocking on a toggle option.

SIMPLE:

Set up 2 rate cards, 1 normal and one with 1831 as the prefix to all the rates BUT choose a specific outgoing CID (one which is set up as unknown or whatever)

or you could add a line in Class.A2Billing.php to check for 1831 and set the CID to unknown...
If you really want me to figure out the the specific code just say so...but I'm not gonna if I don't need to...;-)

ALSO just a thought... FreePBX has *67 and *68 for this function, maybe you could change it to 1831....
