Hi everyone,

I got the same issues form updating to 96.86.0.23 on T57W, on 6 T57W, two bricked.
After many tries, I got it work. I made a video on it if it could help somebody... My english is litte messy... I'm French native and I was so happy to make it, so I was hard to find my words...

Anyways, there is the link to the video :

You have the files in description for the T57W if could help, otherwise you will need to try to get it form Yealink Support.

Any update on when 96.86.0.30 will be released by chance?

This was such a pain to resolve! Took so many hours to finally get this fixed. I took a combination of the 3 files (96.86.0.21 firmware) .bin,.rom,.rfs and renamed them to the phones that had the issue. For me they were all T53W's so I renamed them with 'T53W' in front of the file extension.
I used a USB Flash Drive (Quick Format) and copied the files over and was able to successfully update the firmware on the phones.

The files are located here:

@rbalderaz We fully understand your frustration it can be a right pain to have to deal with such a problem! But please before posting such criticism spent a bit more time reading through the entire thread for this issue.

  • Yealink faced a problem with some (not all) devices that take this firmware. This is a rare event!
  • They apologized and provided a solution within 24 hrs
  • They offered to help directly by opening a ticket with them
  • They took preventative measures to keep their customers safe from this happening again
  • We also jumped in to give a clear post of what to do in case the rest wasn't already clear enough

So I again, we fully understand the inconvenience this has caused but the help was offered if you had only read the above highlighted posts..

Please avoid posting files hosted on personal files-hares for this - anyone who still faces issues can either download the files Yealink provides with their instructions (straight from the source), and on the rare chance that this does not fully cover you, then you can easily get direct help from Yealink themselves: https://ticket.yealink.com/

Anyone else reading this in the future, please read the above links - you should find anything you need in case you have a batch of the affected devices. They will help you with recovery!

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply! I read through every single comment on this post and tried everything as suggested and nothing worked. The links that Yealink directed us to had the .ROM file only and this does not work. I needed the .RFS & .BIN files also....

I had to get the 3 files from elsewhere and I had to use a combination of an .RFS & .BIN file (Version .23) with a different .ROM file. The .ROM file that worked was for firmware version 96.86.0.21.

So again....I read through every single comment on this and many other posts and there wasn't an answer that actually solved the issue. What I found DID solve this issue and I'm just trying to help others in the same situation. The file share link that I had provided was from a trusted source (Synced Tool) and my company uses this for sharing files, but I will not post anymore links as directed.

Thanks...

This exactly the type of case where you should feel free to open a ticket with them, so they can provide you with a direct solution :)

We had a very positive response from Yealink ourselves when the issue was brought to our attention by forum members, and we had to contact them to provide a swift solution.

I've got a bricked T54W and tried everything here and in your links. Got a ticket open with Yealink but the replies are slow. Luckily I have this issue with 1 phone only.

Je vous aime

I overlooked your video because I thought my way was the right way too.

I've tried a lot of different combinations no to avail..

Anyway, I was using pumpKIN to TFTP my files across and thought i'd give your program a go.

I used your program and files and it worked first go - I was using a T54W so had to rename the files.

thanks again.
