I am managing a phone system for a sheriff department with an active dispatch. I have a master bridge set up for calls to reach their, I believe they said it was an Asterisk, system. I have a few numbers that forward across the bridge for an inbound call to be routed directly to dispatch. They are wanting to know what number the outside line dialed to reach them. Each number has a different purpose for being called. I have a test extension with a test DID assigned. I have the extension to automatically forward across the bridge using the attached outbound rule. The Outbound caller ID is not being sent across the bridge. This is where I am trying to manually enter the number the outside line dialed to reach dispatch. They are not receiving the caller ID when I make the test calls. The only thing they see is the virtual extension number of the bridge. Is the caller ID not formatted properly, is there a setting in the SIP (Bandwidth) trunk that needs to be changed, or something on the bridge that needs to be changed for this to work?

So to summarize, if person dials (123)456-7890, it hits the test extension and the call automatically gets forwarded across the bridge to dispatch. I have the outbound caller ID, set in the outbound rule for the bridge, as (123)456-7890. I want this number to show up as the caller ID once it reaches dispatch and it is not working. The caller ID that shows is 10001.

If there is an easier way to set this up, I am open for suggestions. This is currently the only thing I can think of to make it work. I have also attached the bridge and the SIP trunk caller ID control.

you will have better luck registering 3CX to asterisk as a trunk then you can pass those details to the other system. the option for master bridge gives those three options and as you can see no other parameter has been included.
