Solved British RingTone when dialing internally - SNOM D785 Phones

We have a client who is having an issue with the ringing tone when dialing between internal extensions. The phones are set like the below image. However on the phone itself you can go into Settings > Preferences > Audio > Tone Scheme and it is set to Great Britain. You can change this back to USA and it then works but when the phones reprovision it goes back.



Upon looking into this issue, we found this setting is linked to the tone_scheme setting in the phone and looked up the default setting in the 3CX Template for snom and its set to this:

<tone_scheme perm="$">%%langring%%</tone_scheme>

Which indicates this is a variable controlled by 3CX. I have looked all over and I cant seem to find where this might be controlled. Does anyone know where to look?

Hi Jessy,

The ringback tone generated by the Snom device is controlled by the phone's language setting:


If you want a UK scheme pick "English"

If you want a USA scheme pick "English (US)"

You don't need to change anything in the phone, just make your pick and reprovision it.
