I've created users in the GUI and exported them into CSV to compare "live" settings.

Here is a sample part of the CSV:

NumberFirstNameLastNameEmailAddressRoleDepartmentClickToCallAuthWMApproveWebMeetingFriendlyName
1234
TestUser[email protected]<role name="users" />Test Department
0
1
testuser

Of course, there is more data than that in the whole CSV file. But this is an EXPORT of a user created in the GUI. If I take that template and add in random data for another user (Number, Names, Email) and then IMPORT that same CSV format, the CHAT functionality never gets turned on.

  1. I click on the "3CX Talk" tab, and the checkbox "Enable 3CX Talk and Meet..." is not checked.
  2. The WebMeeting "friendly name" is not set.
  3. The "Approve partiipants before they join" IS, however, checked. That's even with the whole feature showing as being turned off/disabled.
What is the magic word in order to import and actually have it set this for all the users correctly?

Yes, the master System -> Options -> System Settings -> Allow Chat is checked.

This appears to be the only hangup before actually doing the full import, but it is a hassle if we have to touch all of the users by hand just for this one screen repeatedly.

Strangely enough, in testing it back and forth, it appears to be working -at the moment-. My best guess so far is that it seems to import and enable 3CX Talk for new users if (perhaps?) a previous import was edited manually to enable 3CX Talk for one of the users that failed.

It doesn't make sense, but I'm planning to try the full import shortly after a few more tests. Maybe something for the developers to keep an eye on.

Still broken. Imported three rows. The Users were created. Only the FIRST of the Users had 3CX Talk enabled. The other two looked like pic related.

As you can see, the Talk URL is created. The Meet URL is created. But the function itself is NOT Enabled and the "Your Link Name" is not populated.

The only difference between these three rows was the unique identifier for each user.

Somewhat frustrating at this point.

I also deleted all of the Users and reimported to see if that would help. It did not. It produced the exact same results.

Which exact version are you using? Please also attach a sample csv that you've used (replace sensitive data).

I've attached a CSV (renamed to TXT), but I had already put the sample type of data above.

I've patched your csv to match my extension range and groups and it imported with all links enabled.
Are you sure that joe, jane bob, billie are not already used anywhere in the system (users, queues, ring groups)? In such case, they would be reset and switched off on import.
