Hi All,

I hope you’re well!

We’re currently working with a customer based across the USA who is looking to introduce mass SMS capabilities alongside their existing 3CX platform.

Ideally, the solution would allow bulk SMS messages to be sent using a Caller ID that is hosted within 3CX, so that any inbound replies are routed back into the 3CX Chat panel for centralised handling and visibility.

I’d be really interested to hear if anyone has implemented something similar, or can recommend any software or integrations that could support this use case.

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

All the best,

Reece

Please note that the SMS feature is not designed with bulk SMS in mind. This one is meant for P2P SMS messaging.

In this scenario, a suggestion would be to approach your provider to inquire if the bulk SMS can be sent on their side, outside of the PBX, in order for you to only configure the reception on the PBX using your desired DID.

To add to what Brunol said, for example...
USA -> Flowroute as a provider.

3CX sends SMS by sending special messages to flowroute with an API. Nothing stopping you from sending the same messages using another tool. Flowroute sends inbound messages back to whatever webhook is configured - and you can have that be 3CX.

In short - nothing stopping you from using the creds 3CX uses to send SMS to have another program send SMS. It won't change a thing with 3CX

Hi Reece,
We have a solution for you, you can even template out your messages and use liquid formatting if you send similar messages often like appointment reminders, MFA, etc.
It works in conjunction with your 3CX. SMS inbound and outbound can still operate in the 3CX as normal, then send a bulk message campaign anytime you want from our portal or via an application on your end.
