Hi Guys,

I am setting up reporting for a couple of my larger/high-use customers and I am having an issue.

We are able to specify the rate in the call costs part of 3cx, however these only seem to do cost per minute (no option to make cost per call). Cost per call is a requirement to be able to offer customers in Australia, has anyone else come across this issue?

Another issue we are having is that we need to bill customers per minute, where they pay for the full minute however it seems that the system is calculating billing per second.

Is there a way to be able to change these settings? Or is this a limitation that we have to live with for the time being?

Cheers,
Nathan

Further to this, we are getting a "not configured" issue on our reports:

How we have is configured: upload_2018-6-7_9-33-1.png

Not sure if I am missing something?

Further to this, we also need 13 calls be be billed per call (not per minute), this is a requirement in Australia also.

Hello @nathanmf

Please note that call cost is currently only calculated per second as mentioned in the guide: https://www.3cx.com/docs/billing-interface/#h.eqzij6or7wzi

I would recommend posting your idea on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.

Regarding the "Not Configured" issue in the reports please note that you need to configure the Call Types in the management console to match the dialled numbers for that field to be populated correctly. The Call Types are located under Call Reports next to the Call Costs option.

Here is the good news!

You can get ALL the information you need from the CDR files and build a custom report. I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Exporter tool which can automatically parse these files in real-time and put the call details in a SQL / MySQL database.

Below is an example CDR file. The names have been changed to protect the innocent (showing my age if you know the TV reference):

Call 19207,00000BF95AB42A71_59,00:00:05,2018/03/15 14:08:39,2018/03/15 14:08:40,2018/03/15 14:08:46,TerminatedByDst,Ext.1010,16085354211,1010,10003,16085354211,,,,,1,0.10,default,Chain: Ext.1010;16085354211;

Note that this gives you the participants in the call, the duration, the cost, etc. It's simple math to figure out what the cost is per minute / second / per call. From this information you can build exactly what you need in a billing report.
