Easily change your extension status by dialing a dial code.

This set of scripts allows users to change their own extension status - Available, Away, Out of Office, Custom 1, or Custom 2 - by dialing a custom code. This script gives users a quick way to update their availability without navigating through the 3CX interface. The ...

Hi,
I really like the idea of this script, but I was wondering if this could be adapted to let me set the status of an extension other than my own?
For some customers, we use dummy extensions to help them divert calls to an IVR when they're in a meeting, or to a different store if theirs is unexpectedly closed.
The dummy extensions are not easily accessible to our users using webclient, so we end up doing it for them.
Not a big deal, but it would be so much easier if we could set up dial codes so they set the status of the dummy extension themselves.
Can we do that with this script? And, how do we need to change the script to make this work?
Thanks,Marc

Hello,

I was able to achieve this with the call flow designer:
A quick scheme is

1 - getextensionstatus extension X
2 - create condition:
a. if extension X status is available - set extension X away (or whatever you want) and reproduce sound file Y to confirm
b. if extension X status is away (or whatever you want) - set extention to available and reproduce sound file Z to confirm
3 - hang up

This worked fine with older V20 versions (update 2 for example) but with the latest it does not, dialing the script extension drops the call and nothing happens.

Is anyone out there willing to give some insight or clues to why the call to the script just drops? Logs do not show anything and I'm not really into wireshark.

Thank you
