Hi all,

Is there any way to let users see the entire call log without promoting them to the "Manager" role?
As far as I could find officially, the call logs are only available through the "Admin panel", and to access it you need a more privileged role (such as manager).

I am asking this again because most of the answers I found were from a couple of years back, so I just wanted to make sure if something has changed. So its a "sanity check" of sorts.

A customer of ours is a call center, and it would be extremely useful for people to see who called who, without them having access to user or system settings.

Thanks in advance to all.
Regards
Milos

Send them a daily report by email?

Fair suggestion.
They specified that they would like to see it in "real-time".

My understanding is that the call log can only be viewed through the Admin Panel. And to get access to the Admin Panel you need a role more privileged than "User".

Perhaps you could make use of the new CDR export to provide them with a more live view externally?

The issue with the new CDR tables is that the replication is only once a day. They want real-time data (or nearly real-time perhaps). There is the current CDR files (text files 3CX can optionally create), but that takes some effort to parse and make accessible / usable by your managers.

You may want to look at our 3CX Competitive Wallboard and 3CX Exporter tools. The wallboard is real-time, and Exporter replication is (by default) every 60 seconds.

This customizable wallboard below is real-time and includes many, many calculations you can display including presence status, phone status, idle time, daily, weekly, and monthly quotas, average answer rate, talk time, and more... with agents sorted with the most productive at the top, and the least productive at the bottom.

This wallboard includes reports your managers can generate that provides real-time reporting with various filtering and grouping built-in. This will allow them to see every call placed or received by agent, inbound, outbound, queue, and optionally internal calls.

It can also gather the existing CDR files, parse the data, and place the data into a SQL/ MySQL/ MariaDB database. All the above data is accessible via tools like PowerBI, Crystal Reports, even Excel.

No it's generated instantly after calls and the export can be done down to hourly.

A little voice in my head told me to check whether it was daily or hourly. All the screen captures in the 3CX posts only show daily. I should have listened to the little voice -- I have confirmed it is daily. However, this does not really change my view. If you are trying to do real-time (or near real-time) wallboards / dashboards / reports an hourly replication is not going to be sufficient.

In case I missed something else, how does it benefit anyone if the data is written in real-time if the only way you can access the replicated data is hourly?

I have confirmed it is daily.
I beg to differ for the daily/hourly question. Also in the presentations it was stated that the intention was to quickly bring this to a shorter time interval once the feature is fully rolled out, of course in some case where true real time will be needed this tool might not be the right one, but for many it should be more than good enough.

These are all valid options.
I thank you all for your suggestions.

But it is much more than our customer would like to invest into creating such soltuions. I wish 3CX could implement some custom user access roles or something similar that would allow us to only let users access 1 thing without having many options bundled in....

Again, I thank you all for the brainstorming you have done.

Kudos

Oh good grief. Yes, I did it again. I meant to say "hourly".
