Hey everyone,

Having some issues with call pickups via the BLF key. I've got the below image set for a user, using the *20*(extension number), however when users try to use this, they get a "Call Transaction does not exist". Does anything else need to be enable to allow this to be done? Also a side note, can this BLF key also be then used to call other extensions, or would I need two seperate ones, with one as a normal speeddial, and another as the custom speed dial.

Just use a regular BLF. If the user is ringing, the BLF will blink red and users can simply click on it to trigger the call pickup. Obviously, sufficient rights are needed.

Ahh ok thanks for the info! I was under the impression that the *20* was still a thing from some other forum posts I've seen. I'm assuming Reception and above roles would need to be added? I believe the users did try, but only had the default user role when they mentioned it not working.

The call pickup feature does work. However, I have also had reports where this isnt working and i've just been doing some testing myself.

I can replicate this if the ext that is in the queue isnt registered on any endpoint.

What is the destination you have set up where call pickup doesnt work?

I pretty much set on all desk phones every other deskphone on the BLF key, which all phones currently have a registered profile. I've got one user set with the 'Receptionist' role and will get them to test this out. Fingers crossed this works, thanks.

If you don't want to assign a receptionist role, I seem to have BLF pickup working for a user with fanvil deskphone if both the "calls" and "operations" permissions under the user > view tab are set for the relevant department. It doesn't seem to work if you have "operations" ticked but not "calls".

I can confirm that the BLF pickup works as long as the user is the Reception user, thanks again for the help everyone!

You have to be able to "see" the call in order to pick it up.
