We're setting up Call Queues for a super busy office with 5 Receptionists.

They want to see the Caller ID of the incoming call that's behind the call currently ringing, for example, on a second account line so they can anticipate who's calling, and best select who should answer and route the calls, and also sense if putting the current call on hold is worth it.

Call Queue Ring All almost works but not entirely because it only presents one incoming call to all phones in the queue, therefore, Receptionists can't see Caller ID of other incoming call(s) behind it.

Call Queue is more appropriate than Ring Groups because CQ's provide Position in Queue announcement and Callback option.

Looking for something like this:
Incoming calls ->
Call Queue ->
Ring Phones with Call 1 and Show Caller ID on phone
Ring Phones with Call 2 and Show Caller ID on phone

Yes, I'm aware the web client and windows desktop program can show the queue, but both those programs allow users unfettered access to a wild array of settings they shouldn't be within miles of touching. Unless there's a lock feature I haven't seen yet(?), were not going to create more work and instability, on purpose. Plus, the damn dialer intrusively pops up constantly every time a call comes in, which is literally every 5 seconds.

I recall asking for this nearly a decade ago (Happy 10 year anniversary to me!). Is it finally possible?

Yes, check out the DesktopApp/Webclient, in the Panel section. They can see calls and you can give them control to park/transfer/drop/pickup.

Queues do still allow only one call at a time, but at least they can view them and forward them. Not sure if pickup would override the 1-call limit and still make the phone ring.

If you do not find a workable solution, we may be able to help. We have built reception consoles for other customers. Maybe something we have will work for you.
