Hi All,

I use grandstream phones and I can not for the life of me find an option to enable a call recording softkey through the 3CX template. I want to have the option to press record on the phone as a softkey and have the recording start.

Any ideas? I can enable this option on the grandstream phone config page but I can not find the option through the 3CX template.

You just can't. 3CX doesn't have a feature code to enable/disable recording. You need to use a softphone, either Webclient or desktop app, which will allow for the selection. Note that this feature is available only for Pro and Enterprise and that only Enterprise can manage who's able to enable/disable recording in-call.

With some phones you can assign code (such as a http request) to a button. You could then call our VoIPTools API to initiate the recording.
