I have a troublesome individual who is calling and harassing some of my customers' staff. For reasons I won't go into they still have to maintain contact with this person.

I have created a queue which has a couple of people who have the unenviable task of dealing with him. I have also created a CID rule to divert any calls from his know numbers. Users will blind transfer to the same queue if he comes through when using another number.

I have been asked to ensure that calls from this character are recorded. The people in the queue do not have their calls set to record as people in firm generally can't for regulatory reasons. Is there any way that I can configure 3CX to only record calls that are sent to this queue? (I mean any way without CFD or the API, I'll do that only if I absolutely have to).

Best!

Can your extensions just get in to the habit of toggling the recording button from the app/

API is the only option. From the sound of your situation, I doubt it is worth the investment.

OK. I suspected as much because I couldn't find it in the UI. Thanks for letting me know.

There is the option to allow the agents to control their call recording. They can have the recording off and ¨troublesome person¨ calls in. The agent can manually start the call recording.
