Hello all,

I am trying to pull reports for a set time frame. I want to see incoming/outgoing calls for 6am-6pm everyday and not have to do the entire day. Is there a way to do this?

I want to be able to gauge how many calls we are missing outside business hours and inside them.

Hello @CPREID03

I'm afraid this is not possible. The Call distributor report can be set by a per Hour time scale, but this will be for 24 hours.
You can post this however as a feature request in the Ideas part of our Forum here https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ where it can be upvoted by the community and be considered for implementation by the dev team.

Thanks for the reply.

I kind of figured that was the case, but wanted to makes sure. I had been playing around with the reports for a while and didn't ever find exactly what I wanted.

Thanks again

As a workaround you can set the queue statistics reset to occur at 6am and then schedule your report to send at 6pm. You could then schedule another report to send at 11:59pm if you want lost calls from 6pm to midnight, but unfortunately with this you will lose your call info from midnight to 6am.

There is always the option to write your own custom reports, and schedule these reports yourself. You can collect the needed information from the CDR files that 3CX can optionally create. By parsing the information in these files and placing the data in a database, you can build most call reports you might need.

If the CDR files don't contain all the information you need, you might consider getting more detailed information from the 3CX database, but understand this is not supported and strongly discourage by 3CX Support. Accessing the database directly is a last-resort option if you have no other choice.

If you need help parsing the CDR files, you might consider our Exporter tool which can automatically place the CDR data into a database. Exporter also can make a carefully crafted read-only connection to extract the information from PostgreSQL as well. So, whether you want the CDR data or the PostgreSQL data, Exporter will do the job for you in a safe, automated process.

Actually one more question:

My understanding is that 3cx integrates with Excel. Are we able to pull a whole report with the time stamps and extract all the raw information? to Excel?

Looks like you just answered my question.

I appreciate the help. I will toy around with the CDR files and see what I can come up with.

Thanks for the information, guys

Unfortunately we don't have access to the source code for 3CX reports. As a result, you will have to rebuild the reports from scratch if you want to do something custom.

The CDR information isn't able to live sync directly with Excel. However, if oData functionality was added to the CDR page, you would then be able to get all call data live directly to Excel. Once in Excel, you could slice and dice the info however you like, and create all the graphs and reports you need.
To see this idea, please vote for it: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...ion-from-cdr-page-to-excel-using-odata.55899/

OK, back on the oData question and Excel.... just parse the CDR data and put it in a database. Then you can access it fine in Excel. You can use our Exporter tool to put the CDR data directly into SQL in real-time. It's a zero touch 100% automated process. The instant 3CX creates the CDR file, we capture the data and put it into SQL. It's as close to real-time as you can measure. We are talking about a few milliseconds.
