caller ID being spoken since upgrade to v12

Hi

we have a client who is using GXP2100 with firmware 1.0.5.23, when the phone is auto provisioned with 3CX v12 service pack 1, the phone says the caller ID over the top of the ring tone, which it never used to with 3CX version 11.

we are trying to stop this, but we are not sure what to modify in the 3cx provisioning template, and having compared the template for v11 it is very different.

if we manually go into the phone and change the account ring tone to "custom ring tone 2" the issue is resolved, but of course whenever the phone gets rebooted it auto provisions and undoes this change. we need the auto provisioning on, as the client frequently moves desks and office around, but we need to resolve this issue.

we have tried firmware 1.0.5.26, but it also has the caller ID being spoken.

it is not happening to our GXP2200 phones. though it is android based, so the template is completely different.

Go to Settings, Provisioning templates.
Select the gxp2100
look for this section
#---------------------------------------
# Disctinctive Ring Tone
#---------------------------------------
look at P1489, P1491 and P1493, these select the ringtone for each type of call. (internal external etc)

Just find out which ringtone has the voiceover and change the value of that P number accordingly.

Reprovision the phone, this will extract the details from the template and write it to a phone specific config file which the phone will read on its next reboot.
