Solved Caller ID issue when conference call

Hi,

I am using the 3CX Windows App to make conference call.

When calling to the 3rd Party of the conference, the caller ID displayed on the 3rd Party phone is the caller ID of the SIP Trunk.

I have configured the Outbound caller ID for the extension making the conference call.

For the SIP Trunk-> Outbound Parameters configuration , it is configured to display the outbound caller ID of the extension. Pls refer to the below.




May I know how to display the outbound caller ID of the extension on the 3rd Party phone instead of the SIP Trunk caller ID ?

If you are inviting conference participants during the creation of the conference then do bear in mind that it will be the 3CX System actually making the Outbound Call so the fact that you are seeing the SIP Trunk Outbound Caller ID is expected and cannot be avoided.

You could potentially force a different OutboundCallerID for conference calls by creating an Outbound Rule that has a specified OutboundCallerID and catches calls from the Conference extension only by setting the "Extension field" to match calls from extension number 700. This however will of course mean that all conference calls will use this specific OutboundCallerID.

Alternatively, you could make the call directly to the external number(not by using the conference feature) and one the callee answers, transfer them to 700**EXT (where extension number is your extension number: e.g 700**101). This will have the callee transferred to the extensions conference room.
