Hi

We are considering changing to 3cx and I have a question.

If we had a few outgoing voip services setup eg. localphone, voipfone etc when calling out what would the number come up as for the person receiving the call?

We have a block of 10 DDI's from BT which we have been told we would have to port over to our SIP provider or is this nothing to do with caller ID?

It would depend on how the outgoing call was routed (which provider), and whether or not that provider allowed you to change the outgoing number. Many will only send the number that you have been assigned, by them (your billing number).

DID trunks are usually one way in (towards you). If they are currently analogue, and you wish to keep them this way, I'm not sure why (other than a contract) you should be forced to port them without seeing your entire set-up. Analogue trunks, into 3CX, do require a SIP Gateway. If are not currently using one, then you may be saving some money by porting them to VoIP.
