callto: protocol no longer working in 3CX Windows Store App v20

We've noticed that the callto: protocol is no longer supported in the new 3CX Windows Store App (v20).


This impacts click-to-call setups where callto: links are still in use across various applications and environments.


Is this removal intentional?
If so, is there any plan to bring back support for callto: in future updates, or is this considered deprecated going forward?

@PDSS We support tel protocol. The protocol callto: is very similar to tel: but was floated in 2003 by Skype Technologies. Tel protocol is the defacto

@ThomB_3CX Your answer not an aswer to the question. Customers are facing problems due to the fact that 3cx removed this.
Is there a sollution to fix this by registry for instance. Answering "change to tel" is not what we are looking for in the answer. We have for instance lagacy software where this is staticly programmed. 2 way's i've tinked about is adding registry stuff or installing the old, unsupported, 3cx executable.

a test, if i click a tel: so that wil work
if i click a callto:

if i click the URL:call to button notting happens. So how to get the 3CX open there?
