Hi All,

I have just started testing this system before our current system's contract ends, as it was recommended by a sister company which use it.

An on-premises test system has been started using the Debian virtual machine download, and looks very good so far.

However, one user is already using the Windows client for connection to our sister company, how can I install/configure another instance on his computer/phone for our company phone system?

The phone systems need to remain independent.

Kind regards
Philip

Hi Philip,

You can't have 2 active account with your Windows Client at the same time.

But if the sister company also has 3CX, you could use a 3CX Bridge to connect these 2 systems. Then this one user, and any other user you want (you can limit this as you want) can call between the 2 systems that would cost you nothing.

Thank you for your speedy reply.

Shame, but I can understand why.

Another thought then, with probably the same result, could the user here use the web access client for our new system, does that use a different configuration store from the application?

Kind regards
Philip

Strictly speaking you can have 1 account open in the WebClient and another account open in your Windows App, but if you are on a call in the one, and a call comes into the other, You will probably hear the ringing in your headset.

The best experience would be with a Bridge though.

Again, thank you for your speedy reply.

I will talk with our sister company and push for a Bridge (hope we get planning permission :) ), but as a backup plan at least this will work.

Kind regards
Philip

I havent tried it, but maybe you could use the web client in incognito mode to get your 2nd ext.
