Hi there I setup 3cx in the cloud using the standard wizard.

The emails from google are sent to my update mail folder and I missed the emails informing me that my free trial had run out (this was frustrating because we subscribe to several other google services).

This is where it gets really shite - my account was disabled this morning (the prod instance) and I cannot get back into it, and I cannot access the console because I do not have access to do it - so we are totally stuck. I do have access to the console BUT I do not have access to the compute engine.

Do I need to restore from backup?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
Charlie

Hi @hewso

Juts to make sure I understand, when you say "I cannot access the console", you meant he Google Cloud Console right?
If this is the case, this is a bit unfortunate... :/

If they have disabled the Google Account completely, most likely all instances you had created within this account have most likely also been suspended, which I assume means you can't access the 3CX Management Console either, right?

Again, assuming I have understood everything correctly, yes, you would have to set up a new 3CX instance in a new Hosting Platform. If you have a backup of your 3CX though prior to this happening, sure, you can use this.

All you need to do is:
  1. Deploy your new 3CX instance from within your Customer Portal using the wizard using the same license key you have on the previous one. This will produce a brand new instance, but fear not.
  2. Se the backup location of your new instance to a network storage location you have access to (FTP, SFTP, Google Storage)
  3. Upload the backup you have to this storage location
  4. In your Management Console, once you go to "Backup and Restore", you should see the backup you uploaded.
  5. Restore this backup

Almost but not quite.

I could access the google console (we use other google products and services) but the VM instance / container that 3cx used weirdly would not let me access it even after I re enabled the service.

What I suspect happened is the VM was taken down by google and and was corrupted as a result.

So i deployed a new instance and then restored from backup and was back up and running in less than 15mins.

Many thanks for your advice :)
