the SPA series??

or the 7 series phones..

Regards

Bob

It is all 7940/60/45 series.

Can you suggest me on which logs I can put tail or where I can increase debug level for SIP and collect tcpdump ?

Thanks in advance.
Max

Maxiomi,

if you haven't already used it

Under the Asterisk CLI

sip set debug peer XXX (XXX being the extension that is dropping off)

You will find the logs write into the /var/log/asterisk/full file

if you are looking to do a tcpdump at the linux prompt type

tcpdump -s1500 -w sipdebug.pcap -vv (the 1500 is necessary to stop packet fragmentation).

naturally pull off the capture file and throw into your favourite tool...

Now having given all this.....on the 7 series, I would be looking at NAT settings both on the extension in the GUI and the setting on the phone....I remember the issue about 4 years ago...
It may also be dependent on the SIP NAT settings under unembedded Freepbx / Tools/ Asterisk SIP settings...

Hope this helps....

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your response, I will try it.
I had to downgrade elastix to 2.2, because it works fine with current version of my deployment (see details in my post before). And this issue appears only when I am trying to update elastix to 2.3 version. All configuration for my phones keeps the same (nat=never/etc).

Cheers,
Maxioml

maxioml,

I am testing 2.3 rc1 this weekend.

Will report anything I find, but naturally I am using different phones. But I will be testing with 5 different types of phones....

Might be worth adding your issue to the bug reports anyhow...bugs.elastix.org

Regards

Bob

Bob,

I can explain to you what I did.

Basically I installed Elastix. All details about my deployment please find in my first post.
Then I did update for freePBX up to 2.9 version.
And only when I tried to update Elastix through the cli, all my phones could not register.
Possibly freePBX causing all problems((

Cheers,
Maxim

Can you try and change QUALIFY=YES in your extensions; try a test extension / phone first and see if it helps you under 2.3.
