I'm setting up a home Lab using a free trial license that my company have, to study and learn 3CX. I've installed a 4SC on my old laptop that I'm using as a server. I can connect to my PBX from this server, through the FQDN within my home network.
However, when I'm on another network (external), I can't reach the FQDN. I understand this is very likely to be a port forwarding issue with my ISP modem. As I mentioned, it's a home lab and I don't even have a router, so no static IP address, but that doesn't seems to be the problem.
I did the port forwarding configuration on the modem, as follows:
3CX Tunnel: 5090 TCP/UDP
Remote Activation: 5015 TCP
HTTPS Access: 443 TCP
HTTP: 5001 TCP.
Some notes:
During the PBX setup, I had to change the port 80 to 5001, because it was already in use.
I haven't configured any other ports, because so far I just want to access the PBX from an external network, so no audio ports configured yet.
When using https://ping.eu/port-chk/ to verify if the ports are open using my public IP address, only 5015 appears as closed (not sure why). But when using my FQDN, all the ports are reported as closed.
I've only configured port forwarding on my modem, should I do any other configuration, like port triggering?
My AV is disable.
