Hello,

My disk has crashed and so I lost 3CX server, I have a backup and another 3CX server with another FQDN, I tried to restore my backup but there is an error that it is different FQDN, I tried to download a new installation ISO but the problem is my first 3CX had FQDN like compay.my3cx.fr and to crate a new I only can choose company.3cx.fr .

Is there a solution to restore my config?

Thank you

does the backup contain the fqdn and license key if so have to install 3cx frrom scratch and restore backup when running the installation

if the backup does not Have the fqdn and license key, just install 3cx from scratch and enter your fqdn and license key still using restore from backup

you can only restore the backup on the same version of 3cx

yes, the backup contain fqdn, I reinstalla 3cx from scrach then when I tried to restore the config I get this message :
Product cannot be activated because the license key is of a previous version. Upgrade license key or purchase maintenance from https://customer.3cx.com/orderform/default.aspx

what version of 3cx where are you running - windows or Debian

what versions of 3cx - 15.5 16.x or 18.x

Error4 messsage is saying the backup file was created with a previous of 3cx, where the latest Debian iso has version 18

do you have maintenance on your 3cx version. You can check in your customer portal, or ask your reseller. If you have no valid maintenance you can not upgrade to the latest version

if you were running v16, you may download debian iso from https://www.jomarsystems.com/3cx-download-links/
