Changing the default video quality settings for web meetings.

Hello,

We are using an Enterprise 3CX licence.
We would like to change the default values for the video quality in the webmeeting in order to avoid problems caused by internet problems of the students. It is very time consuming to ask each student that joins the meeting to lower the video quality so we would like to change the default value for them, and make it lower, for example 256 Kb/s instead of 1 Mb/s that it is now.
I am trying to change this values in Settings>Parameters>WEBMEETING_PARAMETERS

The problem is that it does not have any effect in the values displayed in Multimedia Settings of the webmeeting created after the change of the parameter.

It is always 1Mb/s.


Even ff i try to restart the services, the parameter values are reset to their initial values.

Can you please instruct me what to do to change the default values for the video quality for the organizer and for the participants as well?

So, when I refer to Settings>Parameters>WEBMEETING_PARAMETERS it is related to below printscreen:

the usage of the Parameter table should only be done when advised by our tech. support.
Additionally, the parameter mentioned is a GET value only, defining only what is possible in your meeting, not a POST setting.

Soon, we will save for every attendee in your meeting their preferences (besides WebCam, Mic and Speaker). On subsequent visits the attended will use their previous settings, however, the default is set by the platform.

Thank you Stefan for your prompt response.
So what I am asking here, is to have same possibilities as in the moment of the creation of a Scheduled Webmeeting. When you create a scheduled webmeeting you can define the bitrate and other settings.

We have an E-Learning platform and as we would like to use 3CX also for the Live webminars, may be our IT guys can use API for the creation of the Scheduled Webmeeting with the desired predefined parameters.

Can you tell us if 3CX offers such API possibility that could somehow give us some control on creating scheduled webmeetings with predefined setting, directly from our E-Learning web-platform?

LTI integration we have on our roadmap which is essentially what you are looking for - given that your platform supports LTI. I cannot give any ETA for the time being.
