Chat History

Morning all,

We currently use the Microsoft 365 integration for creating users. If one user leaves, we remove them from 3CX, and then when replaced and we add them into the below image, they seem to take over their extension, but also chat history. The extension is fine, but how do we stop them from taking over chat history?

Hi,

The extension needs to be cleared.
You need at least receptionist rights to perform this function.



You can test this method to ensure it complies with your needs.

Will this clear the whole extension, or just chat history?

It will clear the whole extension including chat history.

You then have to define a new name, email etc. and send a fresh welcome email to the new user.

You can also delete and recreate the extension - this preserves the chat logs but the user will not be able to see them, only the administrator.
