Hello Team,

I would like to request a clarification regarding 3CX solution.

Could you please confirm whether 3CX still supports:
  • FXO Gateways (direct connection to analog lines)
  • H.323 protocol
If yes, what kind of supported gateways.

If not, could you kindly advise on the recommended alternatives for these functionalities?

Thank you in advance for your support.

https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/fxo-gateway-for-3cx.69557/ could be a good starting point.

Something like a Cisco SPA 3102 or a Sangoma Vega 60G can support FXO. Though not supported by 3CX.

You should be able to add it as a generic gateway..

Though analogue is being phased out so you might want to consider yeeting whatever it is over to SIP.

for example an fxo gateway like grandstream can be integrated with 3cx using generic trunk ?

You can find our tested gateway models in our Supported IP Phones document: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

The mentioned Grandstream GXW4104 FXO is included among the supported gateways. To configure it, you will need to create a Generic VoIP Gateway trunk. In the Registrar/Server field, enter the device's local IP address along with the SIP port used.

You will then need to manually configure the device using the virtual extension number and authentication password provided in the gateway trunk, since the device will register to the system using these credentials.

That said, please note that support for gateways is provided by the vendor.

For more details, please refer to our Configuring a VoIP Gateway document: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/configuring-voip-gateway/
