Common outbound caller ID

We'd like to set most (but not all) extensions to display the same caller ID on outbound calls for example same company name and main number. My understanding is that this can be done using an Outbound Rule. Does anyone have information on how to configure that? Thanks.

Hi mfitzpatrick,

If you have registered only one SIP Provider with multiple DID numbers, then you can set the Outbound Caller ID which is located under the Extension settings >> General.

The Outbound Rules in 3CX Phone System allows you to create much more complex rules – allowing you to not only select backup routes which come into effect when other routes fail, but also to select a different set of routes, depending on the type of number being dialled.
